the secret life of the american teenager

so i'm sure you heard about the new show on ABC family.. scripted... thank God.. of a bunch of teenagers in a high school who have problems that they keep secret. the one girl is pregnant at age 15.. the other is a goth.. the other horny varsity football player that is Christian.. his g/f who vows not to have sex until she married... the sexually abused teen who thinks that having sex with many is good. basically this is horny and sex-filled. but i mean its a good show.. WHY? because a teenager could relate to this. it's not fake "Leave it to Beaver" mentality. its real life stuff that happens in high school. actually... after taking a trip to LA in march.. i actually met up with Greg... "Jack" on the show. We hung out for a bit.. he's not really 16... more in his twenties. He was nice and when I saw him I said that he is the def .. matt camden 7th heaven type. his hair flowing and tall and muscular.. hes the typical a&f model-like guy who is perfect for this part. and all hail Shailene Woodley! at age 5 was her start.. but i don't remember seeing her! she is a lovable character in this abc family original. friends of mine in their twenties even said that although this show is aimed at a younger crowd (12-18).. it is appealing to even the over 21. Woodley is definitely an hit when it comes to placing characters in the right role. (She plays the pregnant teen .. in case your confused) Francia Raisa, gorgeous LA DJ's daughter, plays Adrian who dates Ricky, the sexually abused now foster child.. and she is even sexy enough to sway Jack, my friend Greg's, opinion of his already girlfriend Grace (Megan Park) to do the naughty with her. Grace, is also a very likeable character (the wait until i'm married to have sex girlfriend)...she's sweet, pretty, and very religious. her brother is suffering from down syndrome which i think is a great add to the show considering that it brings awareness to diversity and disability in a high school setting. Grace is very popular and liked by her classmates and I have a feeling that she will have a great influence on them as her character continues to develop. and you can't forget Amy's (Shailene) mom.. Molly Ringwald.. although a lot of the other character's names are not very famous.. Molly's is.. for her starring roles in "Sixteen Candles," "Pretty in Pink," and "The Breakfast Club." Hopefully old fans of Molly will bring more publicity to this show. It's a def addiction starter... so watch and let me know what you think. Tuesdays @ 8/7c on ABC Family
