considering that i never really sat down and watched.. batman before.. "the dark knight" was great. bringing in over 155 million dollars in its friday-saturday-sunday opening weekend... i guess you could tell just how great it was. here's the thing though.. it was pretty long.. over 2 hrs and i felt as if the intense killing scenes.. and the jokers tricks of doing so.. made it a lot like "saw." i mean it wasn't super torturing scenes but it was close. that gave me anxiety a little.. but mainly, the reason why it did SOOO well at the box office.. is because of the late heath ledger. heath did an AMAZING job in this movie. it was hard though because he was such a villain that you almost wanted to hate him-but we all know we don't. even if you never saw a batman movie before, i suggest you go see this one. you can easily follow along, like me. this movie has its own plot and i'm sure if you did see a batman movie before-it will even be more enjoyable to watch. i feel as if heath fit the role very well as the joker-because he has that wide smile just like julia roberts..but in male form. his voice and clown-like laugh he made was priceless. this will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat.. so get prepared.
